Central Line
CSMT ↔ Khopoli / Kasara
The Central Line is Mumbai's original railway - India's first train ran on these tracks in 1853! It cuts through the industrial heart of the city, past the famous dabbawala sorting stations, and into the manufacturing hubs of Thane and Kalyan. At Kalyan Junction, the line branches into two routes - one towards Khopoli (south-east) and another to Kasara (north-east).
