About Line 2B (Yellow Line Extension)

Line 2B extends the Yellow Line from D.N. Nagar through Bandra and Kurla to Mandale, creating a crucial east-west link in the middle of Mumbai. This line is a lifesaver for anyone commuting between the western and eastern suburbs. It passes through Bandra – Mumbai's hippest neighborhood – and then cuts across to Kurla on the Central Railway side. The line essentially creates a new corridor that didn't exist before, reducing dependency on the overcrowded Bandra-Kurla Link Road.

Key Highlights

  • Connects Western and Eastern suburbs directly
  • Passes through trendy Bandra neighborhood
  • Links to BKC – Mumbai's new business district
